Personality:
Vivio is generally a kindhearted young girl who will try to make friends with almost everyone that she can, no matter who the other person is. Studious people, people who hate school, people who are generally aloof, and people who’ve kidnapped her before? Yup, all of them are people that she won’t hesitate to try to be friends with at all. It’s something that she gets from her adoptive mother, since that example really worked for her well in the past. Like, a lot. Of course, she’s not only happy to jump in and try to befriend almost anyone possible, but she’s always eager to help with something too.

Vivio’s also a bit of a bookworm, and enjoys looking up history and just studying in general. She tries her best in school, and gets wonderful grades both because of all the hard work that she puts in and her natural smarts. She's even became a junior librarian at the age of nine at the Infinity Library, which while not unheard of, is still a pretty amazing feat. Part of this is because she loves to learn about things in general, and another part is because of her determination to do her best in everything she does.

She’s pretty competitive when it comes to things that are easy to compete with, but at the same time she knows her limitations and keeps the competition friendly. Even if she’s competing with complete strangers that she’ll immediately try to befriend afterwards. She also takes losing in a competition pretty well, being upset for only a little bit of time before getting over it and bouncing back to her normal, happy self.

However, while Vivio does know what her limitations are and as far as competition with other people goes keeps it friendly, she also has a strong desire to surpass them and prove to herself that she’s totally able to do what she wants to do. It’s been said a couple of times that the type of magic that Vivio has would lead her to be more suited to being a scholar than a fighter like her parents, but despite this, she keeps up with her Strike Arts training and her spell training, trying to make herself become the best that she could possibly be. No matter what anyone says or thinks. Every time she does fail at something related to her training, she only uses it as motivation to get stronger and to try to get stronger, to either get stronger than whoever it was that defeated her, or to finally succeed at what she was failing at.

One thing that Vivio can’t really stand though is people praising her for things that she has no control over, especially if there is nothing about it that she couldn’t do, as well as people seeing her as nothing but the clone of the Saint Kaiser Olive Sägebrecht. She’d rather be known as just Vivio, and it took her forever to get used to the people who ran her school, which was run by a religious group centered around the person that she was cloned from, referring to her as ‘your majesty’. Vivio’s interest in the age that her ‘original’ came from is more of just a curiosity about history in general. She doesn’t have much, if any, interest in taking control of the church or becoming the second coming of her original or anything like that. She just wants to be Vivio Takamachi and be the best that she can be and be treated like any other girl her age.



Abilities:

As a mage, Vivio’s linker core, an organ that exists in someone that makes it possible to use magic, allows her to use a variety of magical spells and skills. As far as her ability goes, she actually has more potential both physically and magically than most other modern mages due to her linage of as a clone of the last Saint Kaiser. She’s able to use both magical power to enhance physical strikes, increase her speed, create magical binds, and a few other things as well.

Vivio also has access to an intelligent device called Sacred Heart, which she nicknamed Kris. Sacred Heart’s main functions is to do the calculations that Vivio needs in order to effectively and quickly utilize her spells. Unlike other Intelligent devices, Sacred Heart doesn’t shift into a weapon or armor or anything like that, its just housed in a bunny plushy, and focuses on all of the calculations as well as regulating and enhancing Vivio’s power and control.

Her signature magical skill isn’t a spell or an attack at all. By utilizing Sacred Heart (or another intelligent device) to focus on maintaining it, Vivio is able to enter into a state called “Adult Mode”, which temporarily artificially ages her body up to around the age of 18 years old. In this form, Vivio’s able to utilize a greater capacity for magic compared to her normal body and also doesn’t have the dangers that constantly using her younger body to cast magic would have. Vivio has a tendency to use this form whenever she’s in a serious spar or fight, especially one that involves magic.

In contrast to this, Vivio also has another ‘mode’ that she can enter with the help of Sacred Heart called “Contact Mode”. Unlike Adult Mode, in Contact Mode, Vivio is unable to use any magic at all and is still in her normal body. But all of Sacred Heart’s resources are concentrated in defense in this mode, which makes Vivio strong enough to resist a lot of damage from attacks, including being able to block an actual, physical blade with her bare hands.

Vivio actually possesses a couple of long ranged spells/magical lasers, her most notable being Sonic Shooter. It’s a rather basic spell, firing off anywhere from one to several small balls of magic at her opponent. She can even control the blasts after firing, being able to have them sneak up on someone without being detected as a shot at all. She is also capable of using a bombardment spell called Divine Buster, which is a pretty big blast of magic. Unlike Sonic Shooter, the Divine Buster can only go in a straight line, but it’s a much more powerful attack. It’s similar to the spell of the same name that Nanoha has, but instead of firing it from a device, Vivio has to form a ball of magic in front of her and punch it in order to fire off the beam.

Vivio also has a much stronger attack called Sacred Blazer. It’s basically a much bigger version of the Divine Buster, more comparable to Nanoha’s Starlight Breaker than anything else. Because of this spells large amount of power though, Vivio can’t fire it off to hit a fast moving target.

Vivio’s movement magic is a bit simplier. She has one spell called Jet Step which allows her to move really fast. It’s a useful spell to get out of the way of attacks, or close the distance rather quickly. She also has no problem with being able to do another attack immediately after using Jet Step. She also possesses limited flight abilities, being able to hover in the air for extended periods of time. She also has a punching skill called Axel Smash… which is basically just a high speed punch enhanced with magic, but it’s nothing really special.

Vivio also has basic telepathy, like all mages. She can use it to communicate with others, but only other mages or telepaths are going to be able to communicate with her without the amulet.

I’d like to add a quick note to some of the abilities here: Sacred Blazer is exclusive to the PSP game The Gears of Destiny which takes place in it’s own timeline, but the version of Vivio that shows up in that game in explicitly mentioned to be the same one from the main timeline, and not a version of her from Portable’s future, which is why it’s here. Other than StrikerS, The Gears of Destiny is also the only point where Vivio is actually capable of flight.

As The Gears of Destiny’s point in the timeline isn’t actually stated, I’m going to assume that it hasn’t actually happened yet in her canon point, as Vivio has yet to use either of those skills in Vivid proper. But with the tendency of kids who know magic to invent spells that they really shouldn’t be able to invent (see, basically half of Nanoha’s arsenal in early canon), both of them are being listed here since it wouldn’t be unreasonable for Vivio to eventually figure out how to get them to work, especially since in Gears, Sacred Heart was apparently just able to make her fly without any trouble at all.

Vivio does have some other spells not talked about here, but this is all of the ones that she uses primarily in Vivid or Gears of Destiny. Her other abilities can be found here, though the Saint’s Armor power is an ability that she no longer has by her current canon point. She also has some undefined searching magic that's good for searching through books and things, though the exact nature of those abilities is never really defined much at all.

As far as Vivio was concerned, this place was weird. Like, super weird. No matter where she went and walked, grass would die and then spring back to life and then die and then spring back to life again. It didn’t take her that long to figure out that it was because of how she was feeling, which just made everything worse. She had never been big on hiding her emotions, and the few times she tried she kinda couldn’t manage it. If the grass wouldn’t die and the ground wouldn’t break whenever she got a little upset, it’d be fine, but…

And sure enough the ground beneath her feet started to crack again as she thought about how her emotions were affecting this place. She closed her eyes, because she needed to think of happy things. Like, this was a big learning opportunity, because how often did she get dragged into another world that the Bureau didn’t know anything about? Not often!

The ground cracked a bit more, and the grass right next to her wilted even further. Kris floated around her, slumping down and looking at her almost as if the device was pouting. Which was really impressive since Kris didn’t have lips.

“I know. I need to be more positive. But that’s hard. We’re all alone here, aren’t we?” Kris just nodded sadly, but thankfully the device’s emotions weren’t effecting the land like hers were. If Kris could amplify it like her magic and stuff…

No. Bad Vivio! Happy thoughts, happy thoughts! Think of all the awesome friends that she could meet here! There were a lot of people, and they all seemed nice, and she’d be totally fine! She didn’t need her mom here to take care of her all the time, she could totally survive on her own here and make her proud! This was just another challenge, like the Inter-Middle tournament or trying to get stronger than Einhard. Or, you know, getting the top grades in school.

She’d totally make other friends here, that’d be fine.

And just like that, the cracks in the ground vanished, and the grass went right back to it’s normal, green, lively self. Until it grew like, five times as tall and started to tickle at her legs instead.

… Maybe she needed to learn how not to think of thoughts that were that happy. But that could wait, right?

“Come on Kris! We need to go find out everything we can about this place!” Vivio ran off after saying that, her floating bunny device following after her a little bit more perky than how this whole thing started.

Hopefully no one was going to mind the random lines of tall grass that were going to be springing up wherever she went.
